bored?
Sometimes I just sit around and zone out too.
This magnificent creature lives at the Northwest Florida Zoo. I think he's taking a few minutes to relax and enjoy a quiet moment while his new youngster plays with mom. He's probably thinking about how he can cast his vote on tuesday. They'd probably let him vote early if he asked.

sea shells by the sea shore
I wasn't able to capture the light correctly with my camera, but the way these shells reflected the sun was absolutely magnificent. Even though they are just shell fragments, the sunlight reflected off each one in a slightly different color and together they looked like a bed of gemstones. Even broken shells cam truly be treasure here :)

two to one
Christopher and his mom left these in the sand on sunday. It was all they left on the beach that day. When you're out at the beach, leave nothing behind and pick up any trash you see. Navarre beach is the best! Let's keep it that way :)

Excuse me, sir.
This week's photos will mostly be from the northwest florida zoo and navarre beach. I really liked this one. It's almost like the turtle is asking for directions.
The northwest florida zoo is badly in need of your help. It's getting close to the holiday season; Please consider making a donation to them.

There is nothing more beautiful than a Navarre sunrise, except maybe a Navarre sunset. For that matter, every moment in between is pretty amazing as well. Our two adorable tabbies love to sit in this window and watch the day begin. There are plenty of lizards that scamper around the palm tree in our front yard, which makes for hours of entertainment for these ferocious felines.

charge!
Here's another pic from yesterday. The sanderling on the left was really upset with me. I lay down on the beach to try and catch a picture of one of the butterflys that kept flying out to sea but this little guy kept charging me. I guess that's what I get for invading his territory.
