Jezebel
The Oar House is located at the southern point of Pace Road/Blvd on Bayou Chico in Pensacola. Apparantly they have their own mascot. She can be found on the front of the menu and even has her own statue. I'm pretty sure her name is Jezebel, but I had 3 beers in me, so I can't be certain.
They have a great atmosphere, great food and really good prices. I heard they had a fire recently, but since I had never been there, I couldn't tell you what it looked like before. The seating area is a great big wooden deck (most of it covered.) They also had pretty big Tiki bar that I'm sure we'll revisit at another time.

Is where you live full of these cool places? I couldn't get my wife to live in FL or CA because of hurricanes and earthquakes (never mind we have tornados . . . ).
Oh, and as a New Mexico boy, do you know anyone with a good posole recipe?
yes, it is. :)
My sister makes a pretty mean posole. I'll ask her for the recipe. I assume you need it *before* new years day?
It probably isn't Zone compliant, but you can figure out what you'll need to eat with it to "balance" it.
Yeah, if you get a chance. Don't trouble yourself though I doubt I can get the right ingredients (i.e., chile) before new years. Besides, my mom is making black eyed peas. I'll probably try and make posole soon after and double up on good luck . . .
